Internal Case Competitions
Sheridan Pilon School of Business (PSB) Case Competitions
Our internal case competitions are designed by The Pilon School of Business as a way to provide its business students with the opportunity to compete internally. For students who have little to no experience in competing, the PSB Case Competition is a great opportunity for them to gain insight into the competition environment. If you have previously competed in a case competition, this would be a great way to build on the skills you obtained during other competitions.
At each event, teams of two are invited to compete against one another. Each team will be given time to analyze a business case and put together a PowerPoint presentation that includes, but is not limited to:
- Identification of the problem
- Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats (SWOT)
- Recommendation (how you are going to solve the problem)
- Rationale (why you think it will solve the problem)
After analyzing the case, teams will have 10 minutes to present their solution to a panel of judges with a 5 minute question and answer period following their presentation.
In order to compete, students must be enrolled in a business undergraduate program (BBA or Diploma) or post-graduate program. Please note that you do not need to be enrolled in the program that the event is named after (For example, you can be a Finance student and still compete in the Marketing Case Competition).
This division is for 1st and 2nd year students who have not competed in any case competitions while at Sheridan.
This division is for 3rd and 4th year students, post-grads or students who have had experience with case competitions while at Sheridan.
