In this role, Anne will work collaboratively to support and lead a wide range of special projects related to Faculty planning, quality and review, program revision, and new program development. Anne will be working closely with our faculty colleagues, associate deans, staff, and administration as well as other internal and external partners to steward academic initiatives, collaborate on new program opportunities, and recommend and implement process improvements.

In addition to her strong educational background, Anne leverages her knowledge as an educator, and her extensive experience cultivating relationships across communities, academic institutions, and government agencies to successfully lead student success initiatives and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders in the development and implementation of a variety of academic projects. Most recently, Anne led several trailblazing initiatives in her capacity as First Year Coordinator with Student Affairs including leading the development of the in person and virtual New Student Orientations and developing and implementing a pan-institutional approach to virtual student engagement and supports in response to COVID-19 (to name a few).

Marianne Sy-Lucero, Social Media Specialist in Communications, Public Relations, and Marketing (CPAM)
Karen Booth, Associate Dean
It is with mixed feelings that I’m sharing some wonderful news for Program Support Specialist Marianne Sy-Lucero. Effective Monday December 13th, Marianne will be moving to the Communications, Public Affairs and Marketing (CPAM) team as Social Media Specialist where she will focus on the implementation of Sheridan’s social media plan to support prospective and current student audiences.
As a graduate of Sheridan’s Business Administration – Marketing Advanced Diploma Program, Marianne will add tremendous value as she collaborates with stakeholders throughout Sheridan and drives the adoption of social media best practices and technologies across programs and departments.
Marianne joined the Pilon School of Business in 2015 as a co-op student and became a Program Support Specialist in 2018. As a Program Support Specialist, she supported the Marketing and Advertising programs with program reviews, course curriculum updates, PAC meetings, and the planning and coordination of events including the Business Conference, PSB Academic Awards and the Ontario Colleges’ Marketing Competition (OCMC) to name a few. Marianne also helped lead the development and execution of a variety of PSB marketing communication plans which included the creation of content for PSB’s digital platforms. More recently, she has significantly contributed to the relaunch of SpeakingBiz, PSB’s monthly newsletter. For the last six years Marianne has also generously volunteered as an OCMC coach for the Quiz Bowl event.
I would like to take this moment to thank Marianne for her tremendous contribution to PSB and please join me in congratulating her on this wonderful opportunity.
