Supply Chain Canada Signs with Sheridan’s Pilon School of Business
Graduates of Sheridan’s Honours Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) — Supply Chain Management degree program will now be a step closer to earning Canada’s principal and most sought-after designation for supply chain professionals.
Pilon School of Business has partnered with Supply Chain Canada to provide graduates of Sheridan’s Supply Chain degree with advanced standing towards the Supply Chain Management Professional™ (SCMP™) Designation, a credential that can increase their employability, earning power and advancement opportunities.
“We are thrilled to enter into this partnership with Supply Chain Canada,” says Keith Barnwell, Associate Dean of Pilon School of Business. “Worldwide supply chains have been substantially disrupted by the COVID-19 pandemic, and there’s no better time for our graduates to align with an organization whose guiding principle revolves around advocacy towards reliable and predictable supply chains in order to maintain Canadian competitiveness.”
Sheridan’s BBA — Supply Chain Management degree teaches skills necessary to ensure effective flow and production of goods and services to customers, including oversight and coordination of material purchase, production, product storage and delivery. The first two years of the program share common curriculum with Sheridan’s other BBA degree specializations — Accounting, Finance, Human Resources and Marketing — in order to provide a strong foundation of general business knowledge, and students also gain industry experience through a mandatory work term and optional co-op program.
