Meet Dania Kamal, PSBs Fall 2021 valedictorian
By Lorraine Alyea
The Honours Bachelor of Business Administration – Accounting degree program is proud to have Dania Kamal as this year’s valedictorian for the Pilon School of Business.
Dania’s dream of becoming a Chartered Professional Accountant (CPA) kickstarted her Sheridan journey in the Accounting degree program. As a self-motivated individual fueled by a passion for learning, she excelled in all her courses. Professors in the program commented on how Dania was always eager to learn and participate in class and that she asked great questions.
Dania’s passion extended beyond the classroom. As a valued member of the Sheridan Accounting Student Association (SASA), she not only networked and connected with other Sheridan students but also expanded and developed her skills. In addition to SASA, Dania was a member of CPA Ontario’s Post-Secondary Ambassador Program (PSAP), which opened up additional opportunities for networking and skill development.
Dania believes that the secret to happiness lies in helping others. This can be seen in her taking an active role as a BBA peer mentor at Sheridan. Through this role, she helped many of her peers navigate all things Sheridan.
As a Sheridan graduate, Dania now embarks on her next journey. Not only is she set to pursue her CPA designation, but Dania also recently accepted an offer as an accounting assistant at FCB Canada.
Good luck Dania in all your future endeavors!
