Hey, PSB: Regain a sense of balance with virtual Yoga

ONE PILON prof has the perfect antidote to your 2020-related stress: Yoga. 

Sujaykumar Vardhmane, a professor in Pilon’s human resources program, invites faculty and staff to join him every Wednesday morning for one-hour virtual Yoga. The sessions begin at 7 a.m. and are run entirely through Sheridan’s Cisco WebEx portal. 

“The goal is to introduce as many colleagues as possible to Yoga for their wellness.”

Designed for newcomers to Yoga, the weekly classes will include everything from controlled breathing and meditation to relaxation techniques and physical poses.

According to the Mayo Clinic, Yoga is ideal for stress reduction, improved fitness and even the management of chronic health conditions like heart disease, high blood pressure, depression, anxiety and insomnia. 

“The goal is to introduce as many colleagues as possible to Yoga for their wellness,” says Vardhmane.
