Collaborative Online International Learning links PSB students with classrooms around the world

PSB is working with global partner institutions to implement Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) opportunities for students in the Winter 2021 semester.

COIL is a project-based initiative that provides Sheridan students with jointly developed and co-taught intercultural learning experiences. Connecting two (or more) classrooms across the globe virtually, instructors teach collaboratively, while students from different institutions work together on class projects. Through co-developed and co-taught modules, COIL supports the development of 21st century workforce skills and provides opportunities for applied learning experiences.

Dr. Amira El Masri, Director of Global Education and Internationalization at Sheridan, will facilitate a webinar event on COIL on Nov. 23 from noon until 1:30 p.m. The session offers an introduction to the program, after which a panel of experts will discuss how to get started, and share successful COIL experiences.
