Workshops & Panel Presentations
Session #1 – Building Your Career With an Entrepreneurial Mindset Workshop and Entrepreneurship Panel
BUILDING YOUR CAREER WITH AN ENTREPRENEURIAL MINDSET WORKSHOP
You don’t have to start a venture to be an entrepreneur, but you will need an entrepreneurial mindset regardless of the discipline and career path you take. Why? The Fourth Industrial Revolution and technological developments are transforming how we live and work. Some jobs will disappear, while other jobs that don’t exist yet will emerge. By some accounts, 25% of Canadian jobs will be heavily disrupted and a larger percentage will go through a significant overhaul of the skills required. One thing we do know is that an entrepreneurial mindset is critical to jobs of the future. In this experiential session, we will define entrepreneurial mindset, describe why it matters to your career, identify its more common skills and attributes, and generate practical strategies for developing them.
