PSB and ICA presents VISION 2025

This exciting session is developed exclusively for faculty, students and alumni in the Sheridan Marketing Programs and Advertising Programs. The event will take place on Wednesday February 27, 2 – 4 PM in the Creative Commons, HMC campus B-Wing. Industry “Visionaries” will form a panel and share their perspectives on trends that will shape, and disrupt, the marketing communications industry over the next 5-10 years. The focus of the panel is to provide insights for us, relevant to both curriculum development and future graduate competency requirements.

Light refreshments will be provided and an opportunity to network with panel members will follow. Tickets are free and will be available until the day of the event.

Ryan started in advertising almost 20 years ago at the then iconic Canadian shop, Vickers & Benson, where he worked on a variety of the agency’s accounts. Following V&B’s merger with Arnold Worldwide, Ryan joined the ‘Drivers Wanted’ team on Volkswagen Canada supporting both national creative initiatives and dealer network advertising. After 4 years on the VW business, Ryan joined ranks at McCann as an Account Supervisor. Many years, many clients and many award-winning campaigns later, Ryan now leads McCann Toronto. Throughout his tenure in advertising, Ryan has been an impassioned enabler of meaningful strategies that lead to big ideas that come to life in engaging executions that drive impressive business results. He is a true partner to his clients and a leader in the agency’s efforts to positively impact their brand and their bottom line.

Throughout Melody’s career in marketing, sales and operations, she has gained extensive leadership expertise. As a dynamic business executive with a diverse range of transactional, strategic planning and operational experience, Melody works with high integrity, growth-oriented organizations. She is experienced in building teams, brands, shopper and retailer focused marketing activation’s. She has worked for big companies such as The Coca-Cola Company, Cirrus Consulting Group and Vickers & Benson Advertising.

Brian brings deep experience and a track record of success with helping Clients use design, technology, and data to drive digital transformation. He is responsible for understanding challenges and opportunities our Clients are facing and for driving solutions to build their brands, grow their revenues and create operational efficiencies. He has worked with big retail brands such as Walmart, LCBO, TELUS, and Boston Pizza.

Scott Knox

Scott is the President & CEO of the ICA . Prior to this he was Managing Director of the Marketing Agencies Association (MAA) in the UK where he built a dynamic and diverse membership of over 100 agencies.
As well as being listed in Campaign magazine’s “A-List”, he was featured in the Daily Telegraph’s Out @ Work Top 50 as No.23 of the most powerful LGBT+ leaders in British business. In 2015 he became the Founding President of the world’s first event LGBT+ group for Advertising and Marketing when he launched PrideAM. He launched the Marketing 4 StartUp Britain initiative in 2011, which saw a week long series of events held in partnership with StartUp Britain, with the aim of demonstrating the role that marketing can play in the economy through start-up businesses.
