Sheridan’s Supply Chain Management Education Taking You Further

Sheridan’s graduates already stand out in the job market. Now, there is new way that Sheridan’s education can take you further faster! Graduates of the full-time BBA Supply Chain Management program may be eligible for exemptions into the prestigious Certified Supply Chain Management Professional (CSCMP) designation program.

But How?

The SCMA (Supply Chain Management Association) assessed Sheridan’s BBA Supply Chain Management program against the Certified SCMP. It has been concluded that graduates of this BBA program will receive advanced standing in up to four of eight modules and one or two of the six workshops.

If you have a cumulative GPA of 3.0 by graduation, you will have earned advanced standing in two of the four modules and be exempt from the following SCMP program components:

  • Module 1 Supply Chain Management
  • Module 2 Procurement and Supply Managment
  • Module 4 Operations and process Management
  • Module 6 Global Sourcing
  • Interactive Workshop 3 Communication and Relational Skills
  • Interactive Workshop 6 Ethical Behaviour and Social Responsibility

Why is this a Big Deal?

This is fantastic news for Sheridan students in the supply chain field! The SCMP designation is Canada’s most highly regarded designation in supply chain management. It is a worthy consideration for those seeking to further themselves in the supply chain profession. Furthermore, it is a high achievement in the field which proves your competency and up-to-date knowledge.

The SCMP is considered a “rigorous, international-accredited” program. As a Sheridan graduate, you will be halfway there to completing it! Upon completion, not only will you be differentiated as a Sheridan alumnus, but you will also have the accreditation to your name.

Possessing the SCMP accreditation is a great addition to the resume. It will help those who have it to stand out in today’s highly competitive job market. Certificates like these make candidates more credible in the field. That is because they learn all the best practices and this kind of learning makes all the difference. If you would like to advance your career, this is certainly a good option that Sheridan has made a little easier for you.
