Pilon School of Business Ontario Colleges’ Marketing Competition team selected for 2015

On April 30th, at the Hazel McCallion Campus, over 40 Marketing and Advertising students participated in the Ontario Colleges’ Marketing Competition (OCMC) 2015 tryouts.  The tryouts are also known as Cage Match and Mastermind where students are tested on their marketing, problem solving and presentation skills.

After the grueling tryouts, 22 students were selected to represent Sheridan College at the competition, which is being hosted by George Brown College. This year’s Pilon School of Business team and coaches are:

OCMC, now in its 36th year, is a provincial case competition where 13 Ontario colleges gather to compete in a variety events that showcase students marketing, advertising, presentation and problem solving skills.  The competition is divided into 10 case and presentation type events that focus on a variety of subjects. One of the highlights of the competition is The Quiz Bowl where teams of four students from all colleges must work as a team in answering questions in this exciting game show event. The competition takes place November 26th – 28th, 2015.
