Professor Anne-Liisa Longmore appointed BBA Program Coordinator for Faculty of Business degree programs
Anne-Liisa joined Sheridan’s Faculty of Business in the fall of 2006. During the last 7-8 years, she has taught in both the Marketing and Advertising programs, developed curriculum, been a student advisor, worked on faculty committees and, facilitated faculty development and learning within both the Faculty of Business and with the Center for Teaching and Learning. Most recently, Anne-Liisa has been working closely with the BBA Curriculum Development and Creative Learning Portfolio teams in preparation for our September 2014 launch of the BBAs.
Prior to joining the Faculty of Business, Anne-Liisa held progressively senior management and leadership positions in diverse industries, working with and leading multi-disciplinary teams in new program and market development, strategic business initiatives as well as, facilitating organizational change. Anne-Liisa recently earned her Doctor of Education, Workplace and Adult Learning Specialization with the University of Calgary’s Werklund School of Education.
Anne-Liisa’s experience in teaching accompanied by her professional and educational credentials provide her with the ideal breadth and skill dimensions to assume the duties of BBA – Program Coordinator, where she will steward and coordinate: curriculum development, the integration of research-based activities within our programs and, the building of a strong community of practice among professors within our diverse BBA disciplines. Concurrently, Anne-Liisa will support a wide range of recruitment activities including outreach and marketing to ensure our new BBAs are well positioned in the marketplace. She will also assist in the development of articulation and student exchange opportunities and, steward our emergent approach to student advising activities.
