Faculty of Business students connect with leading experts at Virox Future Forum 2014
More than 100 Sheridan Faculty of Business students connected with leading experts including demographer David K. Foot and Unmarketing President, Alumnus Scott Stratten at the recent Virox Future Forum 2014 held on Sheridan’s Hazel McCallion Campus in Mississauga.
The Virox Future Forum, hosted by Sheridan Alumni, The Sheridan Faculty of Business and made possible through the kind contributions of Randy Pilon, is designed to bring together leading experts from the business world to share their insights with Sheridan Faculty of Business students to help them to launch their careers and thrive in today’s and tomorrow’s marketplace.
Students listened to Sheridan alumnus Randy Pilon, President and CEO of Virox Technologies Inc. speak about his entrepreneurial experiences, then noted demographer David K. Foot charted trends from the past and into the future, and Scott Stratten, President of Unmarketing transfixed students with his rants on marketing opportunities fumbled by major business, and marketing opportunities exploited by business through expert use of social media platforms.
After the feature workshops, and a panel discussion with Foot, Pilon and Stratten, students were offered an opportunity to get up close and personal with Pilon, Foot, and Stratten as well as Sheridan President Dr. Jeff Zabudsky, Martin Harry, COO, Virox Technologies Inc., and Bryan Dawson, Chair, Sheridan Board of Governors in several roundtable discussions.
Each student attending also qualified for a draw for an i-Pad courtesy of The Faculty of Business, and three $1000 scholarships donated by Randy Pilon and Virox Technologies Inc.
