Faculty of Business students compete at Vanier College BDC Case Challenge in Montreal
Sheridan Faculty of Business students Shannon Crisp, Brian Farquharson, and Humza Imran are competing at The Vanier College BDC Case Challenge this weekend in Montreal, Quebec. The Vanier BDC Case Challenge is a co-production between The Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC) and Vanier College Business Administration and is slated to bring business students from across Canada and offer them the “opportunity to develop skills and gain experience in presenting solutions to some of today’s marketing challenges,” said David Moscovitz, Business Administration Coordinator, Vanier College.
“The Business Development Bank (BDC) is proud to be associated with Vanier College in sponsoring this important competition since its beginning nine years ago,” said Michel Bergeron, Senior Vice President, Marketing and Public Affairs, Business Development Bank of Canada (BDC).
The Vanier College BDC Case Challenge February 7-9 attracts teams from more than 30 colleges across Canada from British Columbia to Newfoundland to compete in challenging business case event judged by industry leaders. Phase one of the competition happens on Saturday and then the finalists compete again on Sunday.
The Sheridan Faculty of Business team includes student competitors Farquharson, Crisp and Imram along with coaches Professors Peggy and Keith Barwell, Student Engagement Manager, Crystal Bennett and writer/editor Professor Mark Rust.
