Sheridan entrepreneurs compete head to head as Davis Business Council host their own Dragons’ Den
Sheridan entrepreneurs recently had the opportunity to compete head to head as Davis Business Council hosted their own Dragons’ Den inviting Sheridan entrepreneurs to have their business idea critiqued by a panel of industry-savvy judges.
The Sheridan Business Council (SBC) hosted their fifth annual Dragons’ Den event which encourages Sheridan student entrepreneurs to take advantage of the opportunity of making their business idea become a reality. First place prize, provided by Sheridan Faculty of Business, a Samsung Tablet 3, was awarded to Mario Sarrouh and Logan Kemme for their ‘Focus Fitness’ business idea, Second place, a $50 Staples gift certificate, was awarded to Fareed Chughtai for his ‘U-Neeq’ business idea, and third place, a $50 Sheridan Bookstore card, was awarded to Murad Syed for his ‘V-Cell’ business idea.
Guest judge, Ian Gallacher, owner of Sayfe Strap, was very impressed with the Sheridan Business student presentations. “This event was excellent in terms of aspiring young entrepreneurs to tweak their products and business ideas in accordance to the advice provided by fellow judges and making them successful in real life,” said Gallacher.
Irtaza Amin Afghan, the Sheridan Business Dragon’ Den compere, provided a brief introduction for the judges and the contestants; and entertained the audience during the event.
