Sheridan Business takes fourth place overall in Ontario Colleges’ Marketing Competition 2013

Sheridan Faculty of Business students take an overall fourth-place finish in 2013 Ontario Colleges’ Marketing Competition (OCMC) hosted by St Clair College in Windsor.  The 22 member Sheridan Business OCMC team competed in a total of 11 events including the energy filled Quiz Bowl, Marketing Case events, Sales Presentations, and Job Interviews.

Tristan Kong took Silver in The Sales Presentation, Brody Langley took Bronze in The Job Interview, Karla Rodriguez and Neal Chauhan took Silver in The Entrepreneuer Case. In the Quiz Bowl event, Javeria Aleem took fourth place, Victoria Hoang took Silver and Shannon Crisp won the Gold award and in The Sales Account Management Case, Anthony Truong and Neal Chauhan placed fifth.

The Sheridan OCMC team was chosen last spring after a rigorous selection process which included similar events that the team would face in the annual competition. Twelve Sheridan Faculty of Business professors spent several months coaching the OCMC students including former Dean of Business, Bill Holmes who took the students through a specialized presentation skill workshop.
