Sheridan Enactus Chapter takes third place in TD Entrepreneurship Challenge at Enactus Regionals

Enactus GroupSheridan Enactus Chapter took a third place win in the TD Entrepreneurship Challenge at Enactus Regional-Exposition receiving a trophy and $500.

” I believe it’s a great achievement, the students were really happy with how things went and were already speaking of nationals and next year,” said Vishal Badiani, Professor, Sheridan Faculty of Business.

According to the Enactus website: During the event, students showcase how their community outreach projects and business ventures are making a real impact in Canada and beyond. Through rounds of live, presentation based competitions, business leaders serving as judges determine which Enactus teams and student entrepreneurs will be named Regional Champions and move on to the final rounds of competition held at the Enactus Canada National Exposition. The competitive process, along with additional programming, provides an opportunity for collaboration and best-practice sharing, fosters innovation, encourages results and rewards excellence in entrepreneurial, community leadership.

 

The Enactus Nationals are May 6-8, 2013 at The Metro Convention Centre in Toronto and The Sheridan Enactus Team will attend.  Over the course of the three day event, students showcase how their community outreach projects and business ventures are enabling progress through entrepreneurial action. Through rounds of live, presentation based competition, business leaders serving as judges determine which Enactus team and student entrepreneur will be named National Champions and represent Canada on the global stage.

The competitive process, along with additional programming, provides an opportunity for collaboration and best-practice sharing, fosters innovation, encourages results and rewards excellence in entrepreneurial, community leadership.
