Virox Future Forum 2013 – a Window on the Work of the Future presented by Virox Technologies Inc.
Sheridan Faculty of Business students recently had the opportunity to get a first hand glimpse into how the future of work will evolve for them in their lifetime. Sponsored by Randy Pilon, Sheridan Business Alumnus and President and CEO of Virox Technologies Inc., The Virox Future Forum 2013 presented several highly sought business speakers who spoke to Sheridan Faculty of Business students about the use of demographic data to accurately predict emerging trends and lessons and stories on how to become an entrepreneur in business.
Noted demographer, professor and highly sought business consultant, David K. Foot presented an intense look at how to find emerging trends in socio-economic groups through the use of historical demographic data. Sean Wise, venture capitalist, university professor, and consultant to the Dragon’s Den and Shark’s Tank television series demonstrated how to formulate a business pitch to venture capitalists in order to entice them to invest in your business. [wpvideo zoMVbUcR]In addition to the lectures, Faculty of Business students had an opportunity to engage in a panel discussion with David Foot, Randy Pilon and Sean Wise, win one of several $1000 cash awards and a personal coaching session with Virox CEO Pilon, plus engage in up-close and personal round table discussions with the Forum presenters and Dr. Jeff Zabudsky, President, Sheridan College, Dr William Holmes, Dean Faculty of Business and members of his business team.
