International Business graduate Stephanie Kam is awarded the EDC-FITT Internship in Ottawa
Sheridan Faculty of Business International Business graduate, Stephanie Kam is awarded the Export Development Canada (EDC) Forum for International Trade (FITT) annual internship at FITT head office in Ottawa. This prestigious EDC-FITT one-year internship is designed to provide the work experience necessary to apply for the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation.
“I am absolutely thrilled about beginning my career at EDC, particularly because I have had my eyes set on the goal of achieving this internship since the start of the program. This wouldn’t have been possible without my program coordinator, Phil Adams, course instructors, classmates, and executives of the College believing in me. Let this be a testament that there is a strong support network at Sheridan that is willing to invest in your future if you put in your hard work and dedicate yourself to success,” said Kam.
Stephanie Kam is a 2012 graduate of the Sheridan Faculty of Business graduate certificate program, International Business. Kam is also a graduate of York University and Osgoode Hall Law School.
As a national strategic partner to FITT—Canada’s leading, an industry-driven organization providing resources to advance the practice of international business—EDC contributes to the educational content of the FITTskills courses and supports FITT’s annual, cross-country events. Each year, an internship is also offered to one full-time student who has successfully completed the FITTskills program. This one-year internship is designed to provide the work experience necessary to apply for the Certified International Trade Professional (CITP) designation.
