Sheridan Faculty of Business professors receive NISOD excellence award for 2012
The Sheridan Faculty of Business is pleased to announce that Sally Mitzel, Marcie Theoret, Golnaz Golnaraghi and Scott Hadley have received the 2012 NISOD Excellence Award from the National Institute for Staff and Organizational Development (NISOD) at The University of Texas at Austin.
They have been recognized for their exceptional dedication and commitment in creating innovative student experiences that results in job-ready graduates in existing programs as well as planning the development of innovative new programs to meet the future demands of business. They will receive their awards at the NISOD International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence, the largest conference focusing on community colleges, in a three day conference event in May.
In 1989, NISOD hosted its first ceremony to honor and name faculty, staff, and administrators who are innovators in teaching and learning. Early each academic year, NISOD member presidents select individuals at their colleges who have defined the best in teaching and learning practices that encourage student achievement. These individuals are subsequently honored for their contributions at NISOD’s International Conference on Teaching and Leadership Excellence, held each May in Austin, Texas.
“We are proud to congratulate the 2012 NISOD Excellence Award recipients,” said Jeremy Staples, Associate Dean, Sheridan Faculty of Business.
