Sheridan College Human Resources students take on Movember with fundraising events

HRIC member Rob Capone explains the benefits of purchasing Movember items.

Sheridan Faculty of Business Human Resource Inter-Scholastic Committee (HRIC) Mo Stache Fo Mo Cash team is currently top of the leader board for Sheridan College donations for Movember, with more than over $900 pledged to date.

Under faculty sponsor Laurie Kondo, the HRIC team composed of Human Resources students from the Trafalgar Campus have created several activities to raise awareness of prostate cancer and participate in the Movember campaign.

“Movember is important for men and women in the HR program at Sheridan; it has united us in a common cause for community service and I am thrilled with the energy and committment our HRIC team has shown,” said Laurie Kondo, Professor, Human Resources program.

The HRIC also have tables booked near Tim Hortons in the B wing at Trafalgar Campus every Monday where they are collecting donations and selling Movember memorabilia to Sheridan faculty, staff and students.
