Hall of Fame inductee John Keilty adds new annual award to Sheridan School of Business

Sheridan School of Business 2009 Hall of Fame inductee, John Keilty will add a new annual award to be presented to a graduating student from a Sheridan School of Business program

The new award is to be named The Dave Tinker/John Keilty Award, after professor emeritus Dave Tinker, and entrepreneur John Keilty,  is valued at $3,000 and awarded to a graduating Sheridan School of Business student who meets two of the following criteria – a  strong entrepreneurial spirit, or a student who thinks “outside the box”, or a student who is involved in Sheridan Student Union or other School of Business student committees

This year, Cooper Construction has donated $15,000 per year for the next five years and will offer five academic awards in the Sheridan School of Business.  One award of $1000 is given to a student in each of Project Management, Business Process Management, Business Administration – Finance, Global Business, and E-Commerce Management programs.

Cooper Construction will also award Entrance Scholarships to two students in each of Global Business, Business Administration – Finance, E-Commerce Management, and Business Administration – Accounting for $1,000 or $2,000 each. Each of these awards is presented at the School of Business Awards Ceremony this May.

Each year more than 100 academic awards worth more than $50,000 are gracious donated by businesses and sponsors to Sheridan School of Business students in all programs.  Sheridan School of Business academic awards are made possible by the strong bond and commitment between the School of Business and local and national business.
