Sheridan School of Business Career Fair 2010 attracts eager students and employers

Sheridan School of Business students met with recruiters from more than 40 employers at the recent Career Fair

More than 400 Sheridan School of Business students met with recruiters from 41 local and national employers at the recent Career Fair hosted by the Sheridan Student Services Career Centre and the Sheridan School of Business.

Employers represented included The Home Depot, Scotiabank, Service Canada, The Trillium Health Centre, Belairdirect, Northwood Mortgage, Staples, BDO, The Ontario Public Service, Peel Regional Police Services, Investors Group, and many more.

Several employer booths featured Sheridan School of Business graduates now working as recruitment specialists after graduating from Sheridan Business Administration and graduate certificate programs.

At the Trillium Health Centre booth Sheridan graduates included Roneldi Groesbeck, a  grad of the Human Resource Management graduate certificate program, and Melissa Waldron,  (CHRP), a grad of the Human Resources program.

At the Scotiabank recruitment booth Nicole Kenyon and Goran Smailagic are both Sheridan College graduates. Smailagic is a 2008 Business Administration – Finance Coop graduate, and Kenyon, a Personal Banking Officer with Scotiabank,  is a 2005 Sheridan College Business Administration- Accounting program, and also a Finance program graduate.

“The Sheridan School of Business prepared me well for the working world – I was offered a position with Scotiabank right after graduation,” said Kenyon.
