Sheridan School of Business Advertising students network with industry executives at Grad Panel
More than 100 Sheridan School of Business Advertising students recently networked with program graduates now working as industry executives during the recent Sheridan Advertising Association (SAA) hosted Grad Night. The event provided an opportunity for current Sheridan Advertising students to meet and network with Advertising graduates working in the advertising, to ask questions about career opportunities, and to get familiar with the realities of the advertising industry.
The evening began in the Sheridan College SCAET building with an informal meet and greet in the lobby, where students got up-close and personal with working graduates, followed by a lively panel discussion from 7 – 8:30 pm in The Virox Theatre, then moving to break-out areas from 8:30 – 9:30 pm where groups of students spoke with Sheridan graduates from various areas of the advertising industry in a small group setting.
“This is the kind of event we like to offer to our students – there is nothing better for current students than hearing about our graduates’ real life experiences as they begin their careers in the advertising industry,” said Peggy Barnwell, Coordinator, Sheridan School of Business Advertising Program.
