A team of Sheridan School of Business marketing students comprised of Rachel Bosley, Michelle Bray and Brian Jacklin won the Scotiabank Award for Third Place in the Ontario Division at the BDC Business Challenge 2009. The event is hosted by Vanier College in Montreal and this is the second year Sheridan has taken part.

Competing against 15 other colleges from both Quebec and Ontario, the students were in a hotly-contested event which saw the judges take 45 minutes to determine the eventual top 3 teams — the top teams were that close!

Since they finished third in the first round, the team was not among the final four who took part in a Sunday event runoff. However, they were one of the few colleges who stayed to support their fellow students and to learn what makes for a successful presentation at this event.

In short, these students were superb ambassadors for Sheridan at this event. The quality of their presentation, the support they showed for others and their desire to learn set them apart.
