New Professors for Sheridan School of Business



Francis joins Sheridan after eight years working in senior auditing positions in Ontario with the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario, Woodbine Racetracks and Monsanto International. Prior to this, Francis worked in Nigeria and Japan teaching a variety of subjects at the undergraduate level such as International Finance, Economics, International Trade, Financial and Management Accounting. More recently, he has been involved as an examiner for the Strategic Leadership program for the Society of Management Accountants of Canada.

His education includes a PhD, Doctoral Study in International Political Economy (International Finance focus), University of Tsukuba, Japan (Equivalent of Ontario’s Ph.D.), CMA, Certified Management Accountant Designation, The Society of Management Accountants, Canada, M.Phil, Masters of Philosophy in International Development Management (International Finance focus) University of Tsukuba, Japan (Equivalent of Ontario’s M.Sc.), M.Sc., Masters of Science in Economics (Accounting and Finance Focus) University of Ibadan, Nigeria (Equivalent of Ontario’s M.Sc.), B.Sc., Bachelors of Science in Economics (Accounting and Finance Focus) University of Ibadan, Nigeria (Equivalent of Ontario’s B.Sc.), LLB, Law Degree, University of London External Degrees Program, United Kingdom, in progress.



Lisa has been hired to teach in the Office Administration Medical Program and comes to Sheridan from Massachusetts where she worked for 13 years as an Office Manager of Multi Doctor Medical Specialty Practice. As Office Manager, Lisa was responsible for supervising operations, marketing, human resources and overseeing an annual budget. Prior to this, Lisa was a Secondary School Teacher at Holy Cross Secondary School in St. Catharines where she taught courses in business from Grade 9 to OAC and assisted in the design for new curriculum. Also, she was a team coach and moderator for several school clubs. Prior to teaching, Lisa was Major Department Head of Intra-School Co-Instructional Activities at Holy Cross. Lisa also taught for Brock University, Faculty of Business instructing and evaluating first-year students in Business Management courses.

Lisa holds a M.Sc. in Education from Niagara University and B.A. in Business/Economics from Brock University.



A resident of Oakville, Mark joins us as Professor, Business Administration Finance. His immediate past position was at George Brown College where he was Chair, School of Financial Services responsible for the academic direction, reporting and planning for the school of financial services. Mark has also served as a Corporate Training Instructor for the Canadian Securities Institute in Toronto where his clients were TD, BMO, Nesbitt Burns, World Financial Group, Caldwell Securities, Burgundy Asset Management, Mavrix Mutual Funds and Dynamic Mutual Funds. Mark was the Finance Program Coordinator in the Sheridan School of Business from 2006-2007. Also, he was a part-time instructor in the International Business and Financial Planning programs and taught in our undergraduate program as well as for Continuing Education from 1999-2007

Mark holds an MBA from Northcentral University Arizona and a Masters from the University of New Brunswick in International Economic and Foreign Policy and a B.A. from St. Stephen’s University, New Brunswick. Mark’s other designations include a CIM, FMA and CFP.
